SparkOS Android 13 - Installation Guide (Redmi Note 10 Pro/Max)

Please note that the below guide is for SparkOS 13.5.5 and I'm using an Indian variant of Redmi Note 10 Pro coded as sweetin, let's go!

IMPORTANT NOTE - USE SD CARD OR AN OTG PENDRIVE TO DO EVERYTHING, AND PC, OFCOURSE!

After you have unlocked the device bootloader, download the below files on your PC.

1. Platform tools - Extract it

2. Latest firmware (Global) - Keep the zip file as such

3. TWRP recovery - rename the downloaded image file to twrp

4. Spark OS rom file (Official) - Keep the zip file as such

1. PC Steps

- Take your phone to fastboot mode and connect it to your PC

- Back to PC, copy and paste twrp recovery file to platform tools folder

- Inside platform tools, Type cmd in the address bar and press enter and you should get a command prompt window

- Type the first command that's fastboot devices to check if your device is detected by your PC (you will see a code in the command prompt window)

- Type the second command that's fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and press enter and that's going to flash the recovery file

- Type the third command that's fastboot boot twrp.img and press enter and this is going to take your phone to recovery mode

2. TWRP Recovery steps

- Transfer twrp recovery from PC to SD card or an OTG pendrive

- On twrp recovery, tap on Install, then Select Storage and then Install Image

- Select twrp.img file, select recovery option and swipe to confirm flash

- Now twrp recovery is permanently flashed on your phone

3. Steps to flash the ROM

- Transfer the firmware and SparkOS ROM file from PC to SD card or an OTG pendrive

- Tap on Install > select firmware file and swipe to confirm flash

- Go back to main twrp page, tap on install and select SparkOS rom file > swipe to confirm flash

- Go back to twrp main page again > tap on wipe > format data > enter yes > click the tick button on keyboard

- Go back to twrp main page again > tap on reboot > tap on system, DONE!

IMPORTANT NOTE: You might get an error after flashing the global firmware or SparkOS rom (error will say that the package is for sweet not for sweetin). Follow the below steps

- Go back to main twrp page > tap on advanced > tap on terminal > type the below command and press tick on your keyboard, then go ahead and flash all the files without an error

resetprop ro.product.device sweet

NOTE: The first reboot might take a very long time and you might feel like the device is stuck on the logo page, wait for atleast 5-10 minutes before deciding anything else.

Shizuku -  Download aShell (F-Droid) -  Download Download aShell from GitLab here How to download from GitLab? Check the image below! AFTER DOWNLOADING BOTH THESE APPS, PLEASE CHECK THE STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE BEOW There are different methods to remove bloatware from any android phone and all those methods either require a PC or your phone needs to be rooted or some methods also require a second android phone.  This method is different because it uses two different opensource applications; one is called shizuku and the second one is known as a-shell and I have tested this method on Xiaomi, Vivo and Samsung devices.  ENABLE DEVELOPER OPTIONS The first important step is to enable developer options in your device. I am doing this in a Samsung phone, so you can go to about phone , then software version and tap on the build number multiple times...

Delete system applications from Vivo Iqoo 3 (or any other Vivo device)

As we already know, Vivo devices come with a lot of preinstalled bloatware like Google and Facebook services as well as some applications from Vivo which cannot be uninstalled directly. So, below I’ll be explaining a method through which you can delete those system applications and enjoy a clean android experience and that too without rooting your device. Please keep a note that this process requires a PC/Laptop. 1. Enabling developer options in your device: which can be done by going to your device settings > my device > more parameters and tapping on the software version multiple times until you get a pop-up saying that you are a developer now. 2. Once the developer options are enabled, you can go to the device settings again, then system management, then developer options. You can enable the developer options if not enabled. You also need to enable USB debugging in the developer options in order to run this process. 3. That’s all you need to do with the android device...
